ALTITUDE: from biological sampling to integrated multi-omics analysis

For any questions or quotes: altitude-platform.pathliv-lyon@inserm.fr

The platform supports a wide range of translational research projects by managing various types of liver samples, both clinical and experimental.

Depending on the study objectives, tissue samples are processed either by dissociation to isolate primary hepatocytes and intrahepatic immune cells, or by precision-cut liver slices (PCLS) for ex vivo functional studies and molecular profiling.

The Altitude platform houses a dedicated histopathology and immunohistochemistry (IHC) facility, offering state-of-the-art expertise and technical support for tissue analysis in liver disease and beyond.

Our platform offers services ranging from sample processing and inclusion to tissue sectioning, histological staining (e.g. H&E, special stains) and automated or manual immunohistochemistry. We support a wide range of biomarker analyses, including single or multiplex IHC, immunofluorescence, slide scanning and image analysis.

The platform is equipped with automated staining systems, high-resolution slide scanners and image analysis tools, guaranteeing high-quality, reproducible results. It plays a central role in translational research, bridging the gap between clinical samples and advanced molecular and cellular profiling.

We process fresh or fixed tissue, cells, paraffin-embedded tissue, unstained slides and any other type of tissue/sample for staining according to your project.
