Histopathology & Immunohistochemistry Core Facility
The PaThLiv research unit hosts a dedicated histopathology and immunohistochemistry (IHC) platform, offering state-of-the-art expertise and technical support for tissue-based analysis in liver diseases and beyond.
Our platform provides services ranging from sample processing and embedding to tissue sectioning, histological staining (e.g., H&E, special stains), and automated or manual immunohistochemistry. We support a wide range of biomarker analyses, including single or multiplex IHC, immunofluorescence, and image analysis.
The platform is equipped with automated staining systems, high-resolution slide scanners, and image analysis tools, ensuring high-quality and reproducible results. It plays a central role in translational research, bridging clinical samples with advanced molecular and cellular profiling.
In close collaboration with clinical departments and multi-omics platforms, the PaThLiv IHC facility contributes to biomarker discovery, diagnostic innovation, and therapeutic stratification, particularly in liver cancer and chronic liver diseases.
Researchers can benefit from customized protocols, technical assistance, and collaborative project development.
