PaThLiv – Pathobiologie et thérapie des maladies du foie

Histopathology and Immunohistochemistry Platform

  • The PaThLiv research unit houses a dedicated histopathology and immunohistochemistry (IHC) platform, offering state-of-the-art expertise and technical support for tissue analysis in liver disease and beyond.

Our platform offers a full range of services, from sample preparation and inclusion to tissue sectioning, histological staining (e.g. H&E, special stains) and automated or manual immunohistochemistry. We support a wide variety of biomarker analyses, including single and multiplex IHC, immunofluorescence and image analysis.

The platform is equipped with automated staining systems, high-resolution slide scanners and image analysis tools, guaranteeing high-quality, reproducible results. It plays a central role in translational research, linking clinical samples to advanced molecular and cellular profiles.

Working closely with clinical departments and multi-omics platforms, PaThLiv’s IHC platform contributes to biomarker discovery, diagnostic innovation and therapeutic stratification, particularly in liver cancer and chronic liver disease.

Researchers can benefit from customized protocols, technical assistance and the development of collaborative projects.
